Youtube, the world's great online video site, has launched its own kids app (Youtube Kids) on Android phones and tablets, and now it's also available on iOS devices, and on Kurio, a kids tablet. Both the Google Play and the App Store offer the new app for download and testing. With a straightforward, bigger, more vivid UI that is easier to touch, Youtube Kids is designed with kids in mind. Children who are unable to type can still easily search for and find what they want to watch by voice on the kids version.

Parents can also set the viewing time for their children. Parental controls include a timer, sound settings, search restrictions, and a feedback area. The timer restricts how long your child can use the app while the search restrictions limit the number of movies that may be searched (which allows parents to give feedback on the YouTube Kids app and its content). You can modify the appropriate app settings and the auto-stop time on the admin panel by entering the verification password. Youtube Kids will instantly block any objectionable content that a youngster is searching for, and a warning will appear.

YouTube Kids only offers videos that Google has determined to be "suitable for the whole family." Both parents and kids can explore four channels and playlists, which include shows, music, learning, and debate. No registration or sign-in is needed, and there are no "three bars" in the upper left corner. Landscape mode is a very logical choice for Youtube Kids' quick navigation and mobile watching. There are well-known children's shows created by TV networks like Thomas & Friends, LEGO, KhanAcademy, Dreamworks, and National Geographic Channel.

To protect the youngest online users, YouTube Kids works to keep content PG and uses automatic filters. YouTube Kids is constantly trying to strengthen security measures and provide more options to support parents in creating the ideal experience for their families because no system is fault-proof and inappropriate content can still slip through.
