AccuWeather is an American media company that provides commercial weather forecasting services worldwide, and AccuWeather is a hybrid word made up of the words "accurate" and "weather". The weather company was founded in 1962 by renowned meteorology professor Joel Myers, who graduated from Penn State University as a graduate student in meteorology. His first client was a natural gas company in Pennsylvania.
